Increase the speed limiter

Has anyone found out how to do this yet? Read in a 2013 blog you can change it but it won't stay set.

You cannot remove VMAX (Speed Limiter) if DME has more than 10 hours on it.

If DME has more than 10 hours on it, you cannot remove VMAX via Coding.

Adding S840A High speed synchronisation and coding DME won't do anything either.

We tried everything, and got no where.

Could the speed limiter be changed on a newly replaced DME module? Not that I will do just curious.

I'm not sure. So long as hour counter is not backed up and new DME updated upon installation.

What exactly adds time to the counter? The car being turned on and/or driven?

Or is it the time since the DME has been installed?

Your max speed is 155 mph. Some other people have a max speed of 130 mph, including myself, because the car may have come with All-Season tires, rated for approx 130 mph. So they remove the speed limited increase.

I have. Here it is a picture. Have a great video as well with inside and outside view. If you have all season tires limiter is set to 130MPH. With summer tires suppose to be 155MPH but got 160MPH several times. Of course in US is pointless to have any limiter as my car will probably never even see 130MPH ever again.
