Thumbs up Alpina D3 Bi Turbo in Individual Moonstone

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Another beautiful Alpina D3 Bi Turbo at Harold Wood that has been prepared for our customer Mr McAney. The interior is just a work of art and is simply stunning.

Apart from all this spec Mr McAney also had the BMW Individual Moonstone paint treated to the following by in depth car detailing:
Multi stage hot prewash
Multi stage hot main wash
Clay bar all body panels
Touch less drying process
2 stage machine polish
1 stage refine/Jeweling
Wheels off, sealed calipers with Modesta BC-04
All body panels sealed with Modesta BC-04, except front end which is protected with film
Wheels sealed inside and out with Modesta BC-04
All glass and mirrors sealed with Nanolex glass sealant
Interior cleaned then leather treated with leather protectant
Exhaust tips polished and sealed
Tyres finished with satin finish
The above was carried out over two days

Don't understand the appeal of Alpina from a cosmetic standpoint.
Looks like a 7 series.
But I guess if you are looking for a way to make a f30 look old, this is the way to do it.

maybe if the wheels were more aggressive but I agree it looks like a 7 series.

Cosmetically, it's like they're selling you a smaller B7.... I don't get it...

I like it tho, don't get me wrong. I just don't see the purpose.

The purpose is to offer an attractive price point for that level of performance and luxury. The B7 is much more expensive, and the BMW 7 series has significantly less performance at the Alpina D3 price point. And not everyone wants to drive a boat of a car in order to have some luxury

If there was a leather dash like the M3/M4, the B3/D3 would be the ideal car if you wanted full luxury in a 3er with added performance that isn't a M car.

the purpose is having 7 ser luxury with 3 ser nimbleness. best of both worlds. And if you live in europe where b roads are half the size and asses a third than across the pond you would see the point. I love it. I have a macan on order but I have been considering the Alpina X3D3. the porqer is still superior but this brings it a litlle closer

Look there is no way in hell J Lo or k kardashian' ass would fit in a standart 3ser seat. Now look at recent pics of Kate middletons behind snd THEN ull see the point lol

I think you will find that is the point of Alpina's. As Harold Wood said, 'gentleman's express'.

So Mr McAney might be a Financial Advisor in the UK who visits wealthy retired clientele who trust him with their portfolios, they don't want him turning up in some brash M3.

Agreed. It looks nice sure but I think it belongs in the "boat/limo" that is the 7 series.
