BMW now have certified 225/45/19 and 255/40/19 PS4S available which with XD I'm more keen to go with (last set of PS4S I had coincided with a trashed transfer case). I also prefer the slightly larger sidewall given the state of Scottish roads. I'm looking for pics as I haven't come across any pictures of anyone running this setup (even different OEM rims with these sizes fitted would help).

Cheers

So i found not a bad deal for new wheel set. R19 8.5J and ET30. They come with michelin pilot sport tires and they are all 235/35 R19.
Unfortunately the PO lowered it on Dinan springs and Bilstein B8's, which while great on backroads, is not ideal here in Colorado where sometimes I find myself on forest roads to trail heads and driving through pretty deep snow. I have a 4x4 but it's a 36 year old engine swapped tin can that I don't always want to take out.

I got ahold of some stock RWD springs locally and will probably end up installing those along with some factory shocks/struts (any recommendations?)

I'm looking for inspiration for wheel/tire combos at stock RWD or Xdrive height. I'm considering going the route of just a hint more sidewall and something in the Sparco Terra vein of wheels. Off-road/rally aesthetics are in vogue everywhere, but especially here where it makes so much sense. I just can't find many F30 examples since most folks lower them. I'd even consider going with 17's.

Yes, I could have bought an X3/X5. But it wouldn't be a manual and it wouldn't be a car.
