Thanks YeaF30 for starting this great DYI thread and all those who contributed. Since BMW does not provide instructions, not sure if I would have tackled this job had I not found this thread. I have an 428i GC and the instructions found in this thread worked perfectly. I'm embarrassed to say how long it took me but let's just say it was more than an hour. I did break one drill bit and cut my finger on a burr on the back of a drilled hole but that's OK because I found satisfaction in knowing the job was done right and I didn't have to pay the dealer one hour labor charge. I'd like to contribute and mention a few things for those guys like me that don't do DYI's all the time.

- Wear safety glasses
- Don't over tighten (small screws can break on the brake pedal and holes for plastic gas pedal can easily be stripped.)
- Be aware that their will be sharp burrs created on the back of drilled holes.
