Yay, the remote control receiver is present and connected. So that receiver is standard on all cars most likely because it is needed for the convenience access. I this point I will scan my car for any outstanding codes and note them and I can VO CA and scan again.
I wanted to remove the whole back cover but it was pain in the ass as it seemed that i had to remove the pillar covers. I just ended up removing the plastic covers for the baby seat restrains and peaking under the cover.
