Hi all,
My wife has a 420i M Sport 2016 B48 (checked VIN) UK model. Just done 70k miles.
Twice in the last week the car has made a high pitch squeal whilst she has been driving on the motorway then the car has gone into limp mode and brought up a Drivetrain Error on the iDrive
I've got Bimmerlink & a Vgate adapter so have read the codes both evenings when I've got home from work and it has code 120308
I reset it then took it out for a test drive, easy driving, hard driving, but could not get it to replicate the error either time
Read various threads and watched youtube videos and I am 99% sure it is the Boost pressure converter. A youtube video I watched was the exact noise and what it does seems to go along with what my wifes car has done
BUT on the parts fiche I cannot even see where the boost pressure converter is on a B48 - can anyone assist???
