2015 428i power loss and stall issue
Hey all, I have a 2015 428i currently tuned on BM3 stage 2 and I’ve been having a consistent inconsistent problem.
When I get to about half a tank of fuel I will run into intermittent power loss, engine sputtering, fluctuating idle, and then eventual stalling. This usually happens when I get to about half a tank of fuel.
There is no cel, and I’ve done no major repairs outside of typical maintenance. The car will randomly shut off or bog down and lose power. This time a drivetrain malfunction warning came on, but I know that doesn’t say much.
LPFP has been replaced because of this issue last year by BMW but it seems the problem hasn’t been solved.
15 428i BM3 tunned.
Has anyone had this issue before? I’m thinking the HPFP may be the culprit as there’s no CEL. Any info would be helpful
Also it’s important to note that I’m using 93 octane, and after filling the car back to near full the problem seems to go away until the next time I’m halfway down.
