That does look like the right part. From what I can remembers, it’s located in a pretty awkward position. I know you have to take quite a few bits out to get easier access. Someone can correct me if I’m wrong but intake manifold needs to be removed, and it’s a pretty tight squeeze to get to the converter without removing the turbo. Before you replace the converter, may be worth checking the vacuum lines first as that’s what controls the converter

Thanks for the info. Have found one close to me I'll collect later today, car is going to mechanic tomorrow so will most probably leave it to him to change it. Any idea where vacuum lines are running around so I can maybe take a look? are they all in awkward positions just like this valve or are they easy to see in the bay? Thanks
