Your first move should be to call Unicorn. Rick is well regarded, and knows BMW engines inside and out. I wouldn’t start replacing components ad-hoc.
If a problem only appears after changes have been made, i.e. a remap or significant hardware changes, it’s extremely likely that there’s a cause-effect link.
