You can do it without having to drive around.
Its very noticeable with MPPSK when the valves open, even in idle.
Start the car, put it in sport, let it finish the cold start process, and the valves should open after 1-2 minutes.
From there just unplug them
(You can also easily see if the valves are open or not)
