Yes, a spacer works sometimes. The downpipe I have from RM Motors has a built-in spacer (a pipe extending from the actual downpipe).
BM3 only suppress/deactivate the catalytic efficiency sensor, and only if you specifically activate that feature. It does not suppress anything else.
