335i vs 340i as a daily driver

Hello guys,

I've been thinking lately that I want a daily driver car such as the 335i or the 340i and have my M2C be the fun car/weekend car because after 6+ months of living with it, I've come to the realization that the M2C isn't as practical of a car as I wished it would be lol. I carry around a big ass electric scooter and I have to fold down both of the seats to fit it in, and I pretty much can't really fit anything in it lmao. I also don't like how much gas my car drinks and how small the fuel tank is! I'm planning on keeping the M2C for a long time so I also don't want to be putting 20k miles a year on it haha.

So, that brings me to the question: Is the 340i worth the extra however much over the 335i? And before someone says "get a 320/328/330," no. I had a G20 330i and that's the last time I'll ever buy a 4cyl BMW. It was fine but I want my daily to be reliable yet fun.

What are some common issues on the N55 and B58? I know that the B58 has a water pump failure issue (two of my friends with M340i's blew their water pumps with less than 30k miles, albeit they were tuned) and not really much else. I'm not familiar at all with the N55 platform even though I have a S55; is crankhub an issue on the N55 as well? If it is, I may just end up opting for the 340i...

Anyways, everyone's input is appreciated. Thanks!

Edit: I also plan on modifying the car if I get it, stage 1 at most, nothing crazy. ~400whp would be my goal.
