The EAS Dyno results for the 328i returned 226 whp and 230 lb-ft torque which would translate to 265 hp and 270 lb-ft torque at the crank with a 15% drivetrain loss.
Based on this Dyno, the 335i puts out 59 more horses and 57 more lb-ft of torque. Still a lot more power but the gap is much closer than before. For people like me who prefer the power, sound, and feel of an I-6 will still go for the 335i for the extra $3000(Xenons are a must and it's standard with the 335i where on the 328i you have to shell out $4500).
You can't go wrong with either car though.
