Are the LEDs OEM, or LEDs fitted to bixenon lights? My 2015 F30 has the swiveling bixenon lights and I have no complaints about the dip beam. The high beams are way better than the bixenons on the Jags I used to own.
All that said, I'm still not sure some of the modern lights have the same spread and penetration of the halogen equipped cars I drove in the UK circa mid 1980s. One car I owned I fitted out with 55/60W Cibie Z-beams and a pair of 55W Hella 140 driving lights. With it all adjusted properly, I never got flashed on low beam and the full beam set up (230W) was stellar. I tweaked the main beam lights on my E30 to give more spread and fitted 100W bulbs, those really punched through the rain. Could not put 100W bulbs in the projector low beams or bad things happened.
