Update: Just went and sprayed a bit of Poorboys Spray & Rinse on the balancers, and justed a toothbrush to aggravate it. The rust came off! Now to tackle the calipers.
For the callipers, simply remove the wheel, remove the white/silver Pad retaining clip with a screwdriver levered against your rotor hat, put a wire wheel on a drill and just clean them up. Whilst you're there you can also do your rotor hats, they'll come up like new. If you don't want to paint them then it's a 10 min job per corner.

I painted my callipers and rotor hats with E-Tech brush on caliper paint. It's a single part system so no mixing and looks sprayed on.[IMG][/IMG]

That was with just the hats painted, I did the callipers the following week when I changed out my pads
