A hard reset fixes most issues on the iPhones.
Hold home and power until the screen blacks out, few seconds later an apple will appear, when you see the apple let go of both buttons and wait for it to reboot.
With the iPhone 7 due to the home button being software based and not a real button, hold the power and volume down button, volume will appear to be going down but just keep holding till the apple appears.
