I used a solvent based cleaner prior to sticking my spoiler to the bootlid of my F32, once the double sided tape had bonded it has been solid.
Used the same solvent cleaner yesterday on the rear bumper of my Forester to prep it for a plastic protector and once again it adhered to the surface with no issues. Which was a pity as i stuck it on not quite in the correct position and had to remove it , which was a real PITA.
