EGR Valve Adjustment....

I have a new valve fitted and there is sometimes a slight hesitation on light acceleration.

I believe this is because the valve is not shutting soon enough in response to the accelerator requesting fuel, giving an air shortage. I did reset the adaptions in ISTA, which improved it a bit, but its still there.

There is a BMW service bulletin all about this and the solution is to adjust the fresh air balance in the EGR in ISTA to 40%.

In some older threads I read this could be done in ISTA, with some reporting the valve can be set to 70% on an F30 and results in a much improved initial take up. Hesitation gone.

I looked for the adjustment in ISTA+ and its not there. Apparently its been removed in the later versions.

Someone mentioned this could be done in Tool32.

Does anyone know if it can be done in Tool32 and how to do it OR another way to do it?

I may ring around some BMW specialists to see if they can do, if nobody knows........
