It’s a great peace of mind having the warranty.
Your BMW dealer just takes the excess of you, they do all the ‘ paperwork ‘.
When my 6 year old car was MOT’d last January it was pointed out that one of my shock absorbers was weeping. They fitted a new one.
It would have cost £270+ with labour but I just paid the £100 excess.
Obviously a shock absorber is relatively a cheap part but the same principle applies to more expensive parts.
