I have both an andriod (S8) work phone and iphone 8 personal.
IMO for what in use it for (calls, chat, odd apps - my camera/ nest etc) the iphone wons hands down.... guaranteed latest ios (unlike how andriod is pushed out) as long as the phone is within a few years... and more stable.... without countless updates samsung push out.
Only area’s my samsung wins over is when it comes to photo’s and picture quality and the screen quality/ feel.
Also the iphone maybe more expensive but i always sell my old ones when i am done.... and the iphone retain their value better too.
