I had similar thing happen. Defiantly don’t tell the insurance company, as they want any excuse to log it... then prob put up your insurance next time. If he does try to claim its too late, he didn't take down details as you requested and drove off after hitting you, wont have a leg to stand on, i doubt he’s gonna do anything.
