I don't torque either..just tighten fairly tight. You do have to tighten the filter all the way until it stops turning or it will leak. |
True, found this one out pretty recently. The dealer many moons ago put a green mark on the cap and housing so that when they line up the cap is fully tightened.
As for the drain bolt I just go with 'pretty tight'. Not the force of all of my weight behind but good n tight.
