Well no argument with your points. But you should know i own a gas station so my view of hybrids is a bit bias.
Ive never been ok with not having sound. And I really actually love the smell of gas when i warm up my car in the morning. In my opinion a car should excite all senses. Hybrids have no smell nor do they make a sound, i find them to be a bit soleless. Opinions normally change over time but if you ask me right now (performance numbers being equal) id take a gas engine over an electric or hybrid.
In my humble opinion i dont think we will have to worry about not having a gasoline engine option in our lifetime, probably in our childrens lifetime as well.
