I believe you are correct. I definitely don't want to disable the adaptive (and hence auto leveling) function. However I would like to be able to electronically adjust the beam angle from within the cabin above or below the standard auto-leveling. Some VWs have auto-leveling and still allow you to raise or lower the beam angle from the cabin headlight control.
