Ah I missed that on reading through your thread. That's a nice idea! I need to track down some photos of the xdrive pan but I'm hoping to do something similar with my setup. I don't have a built motor yet but I'm running thicker oil than stock (5w40 vs 0w20) but still ran into oil pickup issues on left hand hairpins and sweepers.
