Last year I picked up a roof box ($100 craigslist special

). It's a Thule Ascent 1700, rebranded and sold by Volvo, but still has the majority of the Thule logos/stickers internally. When I bought the box, I didn't have the F31 at the time, so I brought it home with my Volvo 240 'project car'. Looooong roof.

My family is going on vacation soon so I figured it was time to test fit the roof box on the BMW. Success! Roof not as long though...
