I bought my F34 N26 ar 32,000 miles and now have 93,000. No major issues, of course the timing chain is a concern but I don't hear any noise from the engine bay. I've only used Amsoil since I got it and changed out every 5000mi. Just a couple months ago I changed the water pump and thermostat as PM. Brakes and all 4 shocks have been replaced along with spark plugs. Just basic maintenance items.
I'm fairly good at doing small things, changed my plugs, belt, oil, and tension pulley. I have an extra coil ready for when one goes out. I could be on borrowed time with the timing chain but will probably wait until I hear whining. My car 90% stays within 1500-3300 rpms due to mostly highway driving and I baby it too. Let it sit after every start for a minute for the oil and transmission oil to cycle up. May be over board but I want it to last until 200K at least. Love the car.
