Had a similar noise, noticeable when turning and accelerating slightly. Checked a number of areas, found the rear parking brake cable mount broken. Likely the same part as used near the back of the transmission. The rear one is easily found, just above the input flange of the differential.
Didn't think the brake cable could make such a noise as there isn't much to vibrate against in that area except for the clamp. Temporary fix was a tie wrap to an existing heat shield stud.
Worth a look!
