On that Autodoc link the brembos are now £148 for 370mm (340i) - I guess this is each so £300 just for discs?! Or is this for both?
I know the 340i is quite a fast car but seems a bit OTT if its £300!
Datasheet states min thickness is 28.4mm - I wonder if these can be skimmed to prolong life? I’ll need to measure mine - does anyone know how thick they start when new? Mine have 40k miles so could be shot but we have been very easy on the brakes so interested to check if say only half the thickness has gone, plus the slight lip that has emerged seems very small.
Looking at mine on the car it seems to have the two piece design - what is the benefit of this, it is important? Does the TRW disc have the same construction?
I’m guessing changing pads and discs is pretty easy so looking to DIY - garage wanted nearly £800 just for front pads and discs which I struggle with on what is just a family estate car.
