The HUD does not substitute it... it just extends it. I can easily live without HUD, to me just a "nice to have" feature.
The fully digital cluster changes the whole look of the car in my opinion... making it look more like a 2018 (premium) car rather than 1990.
To me it was a "must have" and if I were to get a car without it, retrofitting it was already on #1 of my ToDo.
Anyway I was just curious whether it was intentional or just a miss.
