Motul and Amsoil make good oils. I'm sure it's far better to have fresh fluid and a new filter than it is to keep your old LG8 fluid in the car. They have reputations and wouldn't recommend their fluids if they didn't work or mix properly with OEM fluids.
That said, if I had an automatic, I'd probably just get LG8. I don't drive enough where I'd ever even do the change more than once.
