I'm not here to debate if dealerships are expensive or not. I just want to record my experience. Personally, $1,700 doesn't sound too bad to me. Especially with the high inflation rate and gas price at over $5/gal.
Anyways, I'll be performing the work myself. Replacing the front brake pads, front rotors, rear brake pads, and sensors. Everything is OEM BMW parts except for the sensors.
I bought the parts from Pelican Parts. Never had a bad experience with them. The delivery was delayed but that wasn't their fault.
I spent a total of $972.11 on parts.

Those are some expensive brake components. If you had gone OEM instead of OE it would be about 50-60% of what you paid, just for future information. And $1700 for a brake job is absolutely outrageous. That's almost double what a specialist race shop would charge
