I went through and followed/traced the black OEM thread...so the black is there and the blue is "woven" in and out of the black thread without ever going though the leather. I didn't want to dye the threads since I wanted to be able to reverse it if I wanted or didn't like it when I was finished.
Key is having the correct needles and thread. I bought the thread on ebay and the needles at Joanne Fabrics I believe.
