Well, that's unfortunate. But you acknowledge that CA wants every penny, so you can be sure that 90 day tax rule will be impossible to apply to your situation. People have been doing ED for 10 years or more. Never read about anyone avoiding sales tax that way. Plus, like I said, you have to PAY UPFRONT (including tax) for the entire car, before you go over there to pick it up.
