Everybody slams these pics to show what their kits can do, so it makes me worry that the minimum drop is going to be too much for me. And most of the pics I find with a nice drop, are done with $$$$ 20" "hey look at me" rims.

I'm with you on that. I like a drop but just enough to close the gap but not bury the tires in the wells. I also do not want to give up on comfort for looks. I did that with my motorcycle and now it pretty much sux to ride but it looks sick. I have seen a few drops on here that look great but most IMHO are just to much.
