MIT and Apple are having a bit of a hand bags at dawn at the moment.
I have my ITunes on my Synology, it comes with an iTunes server and I replicate from my PC.
I am likely to stick with Sonos, however the new Bose looks good as well.

I'm in the Beta program and I believe it's coming on the 15th Dec to beta users and early next year to end users.
There's also Trueplay now that will adapt the speaker to your room. I've not had chance to test this yet but from what i've heard it's meant to be good.
