Just did this job on my G30 530i with the B46. Man it was a royal pain in the butt. Removing the wastegate actuator (i think?) that sat on top of the turbo lines helped a lot for access, but the bolts were basically blind removal. I had to wiggle both lines back and forth for a good 20mins before they were loose enough to stick a flathead into. Sammy's protip on lubing the o-rings was clutch too.

Speaking of o-rings, the one on the bottom line looked fine after I pulled it out but started leaking after I put everything back together. I guess those o-rings weren't exactly reusable. So I had to rush to the parts store to pick up a generic one. OEM is 12x1.5mm. The store only had 12x2.5mm but was still a snug fit with some lube. No more leak after that. On the bright side, since I had to do it twice, the second time only took me 10min to pull everything apart. I guess it's not that bad if you know what you're doing.

Be sure to get some spare o-rings when you do the job. The turbo heat cycle aren't kind to the rubbers and they'll all get brittle with time.
