I swapped my stock DP back in for emission inspection and compared my VRSF DP flange to his brand new VRSF DP and it's indeed 1mm thicker compared to mine.
Maybe it's a different batch or some other reason. Just for the sake of testing I tried to line up his DP to my turbo and it didn't fit as expected.
