This is the response I got from the copper at Cheshire Police this morning -
Hi Steve,
If it’s a BMW of a certain age then yes there are enquiries that can be made with BMW in Germany. He should definitely make the investigating force aware of Op Cundell as there is a point of contact in the National Crime Agency who liaises closely with BMW to activate the tracker.
