Tissots are very good watches for the money I think. Great quality without the big brand premium.

I think watches are a lot like cars in terms of there being people that are willing to spend relatively large sums on them (compared to the average cost).

I know a lot of people who could easily afford a £25k car or a £5k watch, but the idea of spending that much is complete anathema to them when the 'same' car at 6 years old can be picked up for £6k and a £50 watch tells the time. Each to their own :-)
