hopefully it helps someone in the future! Save a few hundred from out of warranty repairs (they wanted to replaced the whole housing unit and connector)

just got this problem today , call the dealer and they want $120 for the housing and connector repair kit or pay $55 on ECS and hope I don't get pull over before it arrives so im going to give this cheap Fix a try
