No.. why should it?
You did this wirelessly without plugging the phone into USB. Something Audi says you must to to make it work. They even say you have to use a manufacturer approved cable as 3rd party cables might not support the data transfer properly.
Where does your link say you can wirelessly use Android Auto on those Audis?
