So my buddy is getting the following 2 faults:

P1017 VVL -Sensors Plausibility (Bank 1)
P10E2 VVL - Sensors Supple Voltage Circuits Electr4ical (Bank 1).

From what I've read and searched it sounds like the valvtronic eccentric shaft sensor needs to be replaced. Has anyone seen this? Does the motor also need to be replaced?
