I think if there's any good case for keeping BoP adjustments minor, if any, is how close the pace was. There's a guy on twitter who does really great analysis:



Looking at avg lap times, the top 11 out of 16 drivers were within 1.0s of each other. The top 6 were within 0.6s of each other. That's pretty damned tight.
