I had trouble deciding as well, but ultimately I decided I wanted more space. The back seat in the 4 Series GC is pretty tight. Also the price of my used 328 GT was about 10% less than a comparable 428 GC. The GC is definitely a lot better to drive, but when I was looking for a car I was spending 5 days/week commuting in traffic so sporty handling wasn't the most important feature to me.
