The F30 340i has a conventional header not water-cooled. Other than that, I'm not sure there really are many differences. The Supra B58 has a forged crank though I think all B58s have that. All B58s have very good potential for tuning, IMO. Some are saying the integrated exhaust manifold might hinder tuning, but I'm not so sure. It should theoretically be easier/cheaper to install a larger turbocharger. BMW already has quite a few versions of the B58, even with the same rated power outputs.

That's some interesting stuff! A water cooled exhaust header?? That seems not very beneficial
