I saw a luxury-line F30 in Melbourne red at my dealer and it looked fine -- from the outside. Unfortunately this car was customer-ordered with a saddle brown interior, and the color combination looked HORRID!
Just make sure you stick with either black or beige for the interior. Even BMW recommends avoiding the Melbourne-red/saddle-brown combination in their F30 brochure color chart.
