Not necessarily, DCT is standard on the M5/M6 but 6MT is a $0 option. I think it will be the same here.
The CA I used told my friend who is looking at a 435i vert that the manual may not be offered for the US market due to the low take rate on the 3 Series convertibles with manual transmissions. Too bad, as I'm not sure he'll wait for the M4.

One of the reasons I bought my 335i E90 was the fact that it was available with a manual transmission, even though more than 90% of them are sold with automatics. I guess that the day is coming when manual transmissions will go away altogether.
