I definitely learned a lot about the changing design of things like the exhaust manifold and also the radiator inside the intake as well as the way that the variable valve timing works to activate the intake cam.

these days with turbo cars... it seems manufacturers are making these sorts of design changes to limit aftermarket modifications from damaging the stock motor. Another example is factory charge pipes made of plastic or rubber that will fail before they hold high boost..

Nothing to do with purposely hindering aftermarket....it's all for cost savings and using a module block design.
