I did as well 70,000 km marc 3 years. HOWEVER I was using it too much. When accelerating 70-120 better use throttle than push the button 10 times. Less known, the rubber is sensitive to finger oils and grease. Gas residue or alcohol (Purell) will desitegrate it. So hand sanitizer on your hand will attack it and ven if seemingly dried out. Was covered under warranty (300$) and now using Gummi Pfledge to keep that rubber clean.
